Speech and Language Therapy Service

To make a referral to Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) and EYCLDS visit: Speech and Language Therapy - Bolton NHS FT and see the 'referrals' section to download the referral form. 

In agreement with EH team, SALT will only be accepting referrals using the referral form attached, which has been tailored to ensure the information we receive is specific and allows a thorough and consistent triage process to be followed in the service. This is to ensure that only those children and young people who need specialist level input are referred into services, and when they are accepted they are on the right pathway based on their needs, with timely input being the ultimate goal.

Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy

For sensory integration advice please use the same form, making it clear that you are requesting support with regards to a child's sensory integration needs.

Sensory Processing Service

Sensory processing differences occurs when sensory signals don’t get organised into appropriate responses. People with sensory processing differences find it difficult to process sensory information (e.g. sound, touch and movement) from the world around them. This means that they may feel sensory input more or less intensely than other people and struggle with self-regulation. Sensory processing differences can therefore impact on a person’s ability to interact in different environments and perform daily activities. Paediatric Learning Disability Service

A referral to Paediatric Learning Disability Service can be arranged by contacting the team via email: plds@boltonft.nhs.uk or Tel: 01204 463660. Referrals are accepted from all agencies. Parents and carers can request a referral via their GP, Social Worker or other professionals involved in their child's care. Click on the links below for more information:

Integrated Community Paediatric Services

A referral to the Integrated Community Paediatric Services can be made via a Health Professional or setting SENCO. Send supporting documentation e.g., Early Help to boh-tr.icpsreferrals@nhs.net
