Bolton's 5 Golden Rules
Our Five Golden Rules are designed to support high‑quality adult–child interactions both within early years settings and at home. These principles should be embedded into staff induction processes and ongoing professional development, and regularly shared with parents and carers.
To support you with this, we have developed a series of short video clips that can be used with families to demonstrate each strategy in practice. As always, the most effective way to embed these approaches is through ongoing discussion, modelling, and demonstration.
