Communication is everybody's responsibility! 

The Communication Champion is passionate about the importance of children's communication and language development and recognises how it is a fundamental lifelong skill for learning.

The Communication Champion will be responsible for promoting the importance of good language skills in their setting, school or service.

The Communication Champion will be aware of and promote key resources to support children's communication and language development including:

Communication Champions will keep themselves and others up to date with local and national news, and research. They can keep up to date by attending the termly Communication Champion Workshops. Workshops are recommended for new and exisitng Communication Chamipions:

Communication Champions can also attend the termly Bolton Early Years Community of Practice Network events facilitated by Bolton Start Well and the Early Years Professional Development Tutor Champions. These sessions are hosted in Bolton settings and schools who will share some of their practice and show you around.

The Communication Champion will suppport the embedding of the Communication and Language Pathway and its associated resources in their setting, school, service.  Settings and schools can be supported to do this by the Quality and Outcomes Team.
