MBK 30 hours business planning E-learning course​

An interactive e-learning course that will look at how you business plan. 

Although this course has been specifically written to support 30 hours delivery, it is also useful to look independently at any of the areas below.

The course covers; ​

  • SWOT Analysis, ​
  • PESTLE Analysis, ​
  • Business Planning, ​
  • Pricing​ Paperwork, ​
  • Transition Plans, ​

This e-learning course will support you to put all the pieces together in an Action Plan.

How do I access the MBK e-learning business course?

The MBK training is accessed via the Bolton Start Well e-learning platform, which is on the Start Well website under Courses, or can be accessed here.

Introduction for new start-ups E-learning course

This module is for people interested in starting a childcare business for the first time. It covers the basics of setting up a childcare business.

The objectives for this module are:

  • To gain updated information about the early education entitlement for 2 year olds.
  • To understand the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage 2012.
  • To understand the basics of starting a childcare business and how to prepare for the inspection process.

Early years business planning E-learning course

This module is aimed at existing childcare providers who want to know more about how business planning can help them build a successful childcare business. It is also suitable for new start-ups.  Learn about the importance and benefits of clear business planning for building a sustainable childcare business.

In this module you will learn:

  • About the importance and benefits of clear business planning for building a sustainable childcare business.
  • How to analyse your business to determine the strengths and weaknesses.
  • How to complete a business health check to inform a SWOT Analysis for your business.
  • The key elements of a business plan and the essential documents for monitoring the sustainability of the business.
