Location: Little Ozzies Nursery, Falkirk Drive, Bolton BL2 6NW

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Position: 1 post all year round, 1 post term time only. 

Working hours:  Monday to Friday, full time 42 hours per week

Job overview:

Primary Purpose: To deliver quality provision, support & ensure appropriate care & welfare of the children in the Nursery and OSC environment.

Responsible to: Manager, Deputy Manager & Room Leader

Principal responsibilities: To maintain the safety and security of the children in the setting. Maintain a stimulating and reassuring environment for children, implementing planned play activities for sensory and intellectual development. To support the development of language and to support children’s social & emotional development as well as physical development needs.

Main Duties

1. To support & liaise with the Room Leader on a daily basis.

2. To support the provision of a broad and balanced curriculum that will meet the requirements of relevant national and local standards.

3. To support the provision of the high quality care & education for children & families.

4. To observe, monitor & contribute towards written records on children’s developmental progress.

5. To maintain client confidentiality.

6. To report any injury or accident ensuring that health & safety of the individual is

maintained.

7. To report any suspicious or suspected non-accidental injury following the company Safeguarding procedures.

8. To plan & equip environments for children and identify gaps in provision with the Room Leader.

9. To plan, implement & evaluate learning activities & experiences with the Room Leader.

10. To promote the care & education of children with special needs.

11. To manage yourself.

12. To create effective working relationships.

13. To contribute to the effectiveness of teams.

15. To work with other professionals.

16. To be flexible within the working practices of the company. To be prepared to help where needed, including to undertake certain domestic jobs within the Nursery & OSC.

Experience:

  • Childcare: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
