Description

In the summer term, we have been offered the opportunity to host Attention Autism CPD training with accreditation (Level One Online Attention Autism).

The Attention Autism programme is suitable for all Early Years children, those with and without social communication difficulties. Early Years learning can be delivered inclusively through this model to great effect with a strong emphasis on speech, language, and attention skills as well as the promotion of PSE skills.

Attention Autism CPD training is for settings that have not accessed previous waves of training offered through Bolton Start Well.

Those interested in this opportunity will need to commit to a number of requirements in order to gain full accreditation.

Settings must commit to two members of staff attending the online CPD training on the dates below:

  • Session 1 – Monday 10th June 1:45-3:00pm
  • Session 2 – Tuesday 11th June 1:45-3:00pm
  • Film 1 – Monday 17th June by 6:00pm
  • Session 3 – Monday 24th June 1:45-3:00pm
  • Session 4 – Tuesday 25th June 1:45-3:00pm
  • Session 5 – Monday 1st July 1:45-3:00pm
  • Session 6 – Tuesday 2nd July 1:45-3:00pm
  • Film 2 – Monday 8th July by 6:00pm

N.B. Attention Autism require delegates to attend all 6 sessions and submission of 2 films in order to meet the requirements for accreditation. The short clips will be videos of your attention autism practice. Where there are extenuating circumstances which prevent attendance at any of the sessions, it is the delegates responsibility to liaise with Attention Autism to share this information. Attention Autism may be able to offer additional sessions, however this is not guarenteed. If Attention Autism cannot accommodate a replacement session, unfortunately the delegate would not be accredited, however could continue to deliver Attention Autism in their setting.

Bolton Start Well require:

  • one practitioner to work within a room and
  • one to be a manager/deputy/SENCO etc.

This enables the CPD to be well embedded within the setting and enables senior leaders to understand how to support the programme.

In the event of oversubscription, priority will be given to settings in areas of high deprivation and/or with children in receipt of Early Years Inclusion Fund.

Cost

There is no charge for this CPD training, however there must be a commitment and availability to access all the sessions.
