Education charity, The Country Trust: Farm in a Box

Education charity The Country Trust Farm in a B

Education charity, The Country Trust have just launched their new Early Years Farm in a Box programme and would like to offer this to EYFS and SEN/D settings in Great Manchester.

This FREE Box is full of activities and resources that enable young children to play, learn and discover the diverse world of farming. Most activities can be delivered outdoors and have been designed to support wellbeing.

Boxes will be landing in late September / early October with an autumn theme. And, when you have completed the evaluation form regarding the autumn box, you will be offered the opportunity to order another free follow-up box for the spring!

The Box, which is delivered directly to you, is filled with a range of engaging resources and sensory, hands-on activities; discover farm produce to sell in your role play shop, create small worlds to investigate farms and explore new tastes, smells and textures with sensory bags filled with real items found on a farm.

The Box also introduces the wide diversity of farms, and the broad range of jobs farmers do to grow our food.

It’s strongly encouraged to run the activities outside. How much detail you go into and how long you spend on the activities is up to you and your group. The activities are curriculum-linked for EYFS, particularly around Communication and Language and Understanding the World.

Note: Boxes are limited and will go quickly therefore early booking is advised.
