  • Bet you can help now - Learn to provide help and support to people at risk of, or affected by, harms related to gambling, plus how to signpost them to appropriate specialist services.
  • Domestic abuse, violence and mental health - Explore the dynamics between domestic abuse and violence and how living with domestic abuse and violence effects victims’ mental health.
  • LBGT+ Awareness - A one-day training course that encourages people to become more LGBT+ inclusive.
  • Women and problem gambling - Increase your knowledge, skills and confidence to discuss and support women experiencing gambling related harm, ensuring they get the right support at the right time.
  • Living life to the full - A comprehensive seven session course that helps you discover how to tackle a variety of problems in life and learn how to improve how you feel, when you feel low or stressed.
  • Connect Five: making mental wellbeing conversations work - Develop the skills and confidence for effective conversations about mental health and learn a wide range of support you can provide for people around you.
  • Five ways to wellbeing - Explore five important things you can do to protect and improve your mental health and find out about the training available to support many aspects of wellbeing and mental health.
  • Mental Health First Aid - An internationally recognised training course, designed to teach people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill-health and provide help on a first aid basis.
  • SafeTALK - Learn to recognise the signs of having thoughts of suicide and appreciate how talking openly about suicide can help prevent it, as well as overcome stigma amongst communities and personally.
  • Mental Health Awareness - Learn how to improve and maintain mental wellbeing, reduce the stigma around mental ill-health and know what to do to help people recover.
  • Mental Health Champion - Know how to support others with their mental health and recognise the signs and symptoms of mental health issues.
  • ASIST (suicide training) - Learn how to prevent suicide by recognising signs, providing a skilled intervention and developing a safety plan.
  • Death, dying and grief in the age of Covid and beyond - Gain a deeper understanding of loss, grief and bereavement, learn how to talk to people in a supportive way and find out about useful resources.

To book your place, please email: learninganddevelopment@bolton.gov.uk with your full name, your contact information, your organisation's name and address, and the title, date and time of the course.

Cancellation charges are:
• Two weeks or more before the course – no charge
• Less than two weeks before the course or non-attendance – £25
