This interactive, one-hour digital training session will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the criteria needed to access the Communication and Language Pathway.  It aims to support practitioners’ understanding of the criteria points within the Pathway for accessing the four sections (Every Child, Extra Help, More Help, Risk/Specialist Support), as well as share resources and assessment tools to support each section.

This session is designed to develop practitioners’ skills and confidence in accessing the Bolton Integrated Early Years Communication & Language Pathway and support children in their communication and language journey.

The workshop uses interactive teaching methods and resources, practical activities and group discussion to engage delegates. Please note: You will need access to the Bolton Integrated Early Years Communication & Language Pathway during the session.


What will I learn?

At the end of this course, we will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of the practitioner’s role within the Bolton Integrated Early Years Communication & Language Pathway.
  • Know how to make affective use of the resources and interventions to access the four sections of the Pathway.
  • Identify the services available to support children at different points within the Pathway.
