Description

This interactive, one-hour digital training will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the ‘Every Child’ element of the Communication & Language Pathway.  It aims to support practitioners understanding of the ‘Every Child’ section of the Pathway, as well as share resources that support all children’s communication and language development. This session is designed to develop practitioners’ skills and confidence in understanding and using the Pathway, with particular reference to the ‘Every Child’ section.

The workshop uses interactive teaching methods and resources, practical activities and group discussion to engage delegates. Please note: You will need access to the Bolton Early Years Integrated Communication & Language Pathway during the session, which will be circulated in advance of the training with your joining instructions.

 

How will this session help?

At the end of this training, you will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of the practitioner’s role within the ‘Every Child’ section of the Bolton Integrated Early Years Communication & Language Pathway.
  • Know how to make affective use of the ‘Every Child’ resources and interventions to support children in their communication and language journey.
  • Identify the services available to support all children, as part of ‘Every Child’.
  • Have an awareness of the signposting opportunities and assessment methodologies used to access further support in the next section, ‘Extra Help’.

This training is aimed at all practitioners working with early years children.

Please note, you can access Microsoft Teams via a tablet, computer or smart phone device and you can join as a guest if you do not have an account.  Alternatively, the Teams app can be downloaded for free onto a smart device prior to the event from the App Store or Google Play.
