Working hours: 27.5 hours per week, monday - Friday.

Job overview:

The Role… The Diamonds ASD Hub is an integral part of Moorgate Primary School. Moorgate is a fully inclusive primary school in the Tonge Moor area of Bolton.  We are looking to appoint a Class Teacher to work within our Diamonds Hub, who has knowledge and understanding of working with children with Autism and their families. We are looking for someone to join our enthusiastic, caring and committed team.  The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills (oral and written), be resilient and have good time management. They will have the ability to cope with pressure and be able to relate well to children on the ASD Spectrum.

The post is busy and demanding and requires a highly motivated and organised individual who will need a pleasant and calm approach, be able to undertake a wide range of duties and be prepared to take on “anything” from the most basic to the most complex. The applicant should also be able to work as part of a team, and have a good sense of humour.

The post requires you to be responsible for the welfare and education of pupils with Autism in the age range 4 – 11 years, sharing in the ethos and vision of the school, moving towards its aims, and having due regard to the school’s policies and practice.
