Best Start Family Hubs in Bolton are places where families with children and young people 0-19 years, or up to 25 with SEND, can share the joys and challenges of parenthood.
These hubs offer a range of activities and integrated support services to help families in Bolton with every aspect of parenting, so their child gets the best possible start in life.
A number of professionals are available to support parents-to-be and families around a whole range of topics including supporting children’s development and learning. The hub team can also signpost families onto other agencies when needed.

Printed programmes are available in Best Start Family Hubs, Libraries, and other locations whilst stocks last.
Posters are available with a QR code to the digital programme which can be displayed in your settings or inserted in to your newsletters.
The programme can also be found on the Bolton Council website which is enabled with a ReachDeck toolbar to support greater accessibility. Families with a baby, toddler or teen can access a variety of helpful features on the Best Start in Life parent hub, including an eligibility checker to determine what childcare support they might qualify for (formerly known as Childcare Choices), a link to the Breakfast Clubs map checker to find if their child’s school offers free Breakfast Clubs, and a link to the Family Hubs checker to find their local Family Hub.
This is a one stop online hub where families can find information, trusted advice, and guidance on everything from pregnancy, early education and childcare, right through to starting school and beyond.
