Georgina Tunn-Rutter


Georgina has worked as a Speech and Language Therapist since 2016 and joined the Bolton Start Well team in 2018. In Georgina’s previous Speech and Language Therapy role she worked with children with varied speech, language and communication needs within clinics, at home, in nurseries, schools and a specialist Language Unit within a school. Prior to her degree, Georgina worked and volunteered supporting a wide variety of children within schools, nurseries and summer activity programmes. Georgina has a BMedSci (Hons) Speech Science (Speech and Language Therapy) degree, providing the relevant theoretical background and practical knowledge.

Within the Start Well Early Communication and Language Development team, Georgina works directly with children with identified speech, language and communication needs and their families. She provides support within groups and on a one-to-one basis. As well as this Georgina supports the team with providing advice aiming to support all children’s communication at a universal level and to spread the key messages regarding communication across Bolton. She supports with the delivery of the team’s training packages for the early years workforce. Georgina is keen to support children, families and professionals to ensure the best possible starting point for their speech, language and communication development.
