START WELL SEND SENIOR HUB COORDINATOR
Jo is a Special Needs Teacher with over 20 years’ experience. She has taught children with high needs throughout her career and has a good understanding of a wide range of strategies, resources and techniques to remove barriers to learning and promote development in the Early Years.
Jo’s role as the Senior SEND Hub Coordinator for Start Well involves supporting the five high needs bases, which are attached to nurseries in Bolton. She organises the high needs base panel and has responsibilities for monitoring, training and developing the facilities, so that the bases are all of equally high quality and can confidently provide specialist environments for children with specific needs.
Jo also offers SEND advice and support to our wraparound providers, helping to ensure inclusive opportunities, sourcing training where needed as well as advising on strategies and resources.
