Bolton Start Well Service - Helen Shearer
HEAD OF START WELL: STRATEGIC LEAD FOR EARLY YEARS
Helen started her childcare career in 1989 working in family centres in Leeds and qualified as a teacher in 1999. She has taught in primary schools, nursery schools and within children's centres. Senior leadership roles include: Nursery Manager, Children's Centre Lead Teacher, Early Years Advisory Teacher/Consultant, Early Years Foundation Stage Profile Moderation Manager and an interim post as Deputy Head of Service.
Helen is now the Head of Service for Start Well with responsibility for improving quality and outcomes across early years providers, particularly those that are judged by Ofsted as requiring improvement. Helen leads on the Bolton Family Hub development, working closely with colleagues across the partnership.
