Greater Manchester Combines Authority (GMCA) would like to hear from early years professionals to understand what is needed to support the mental health of 2-5 year olds in Greater Manchester.

This survey closes on 13 November 2026.

It should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.

GM are keen to hear from a variety of stakeholders, including professionals working with families with children aged 2-5 years and families.

Join a focus group

Focus groups aim to explore the survey topics in more detail. Bringing together professionals from across Greater Manchester with focus groups split into three areas:

  1. frontline practitioners
  2. managers and service leads
  3. strategic leads.

The aim of the survey and focus group is to:

  • understand practitioners experiences of supporting the social and emotional development of 2-5 year olds, what services are available, where there are unmet needs, and how a Greater Manchester hub could add value.
  • hear what service leads think the practitioners and families need in their area.
  • know what strategic leads envision for this age group and where this fits with your priorities.

The sessions will take place on Microsoft Teams and will include a combination of group discussion and interactive mentimeter activities.

The dates and times for the focus group sessions (to be held in Oct/Nov) and more information can be found here: Early Years Mental Health Hub (2-5’s project)
