Public Health Nursing Team - Changes to contact times - please share with colleagues and families.

Dear colleagues

In order to make sure we are providing the best service possible within the resource available to us, we are making some changes to our contact times for our Public Health Nursing teams.

This will enable our staff to focus on mandated activities, and safeguarding of the most vulnerable children, young people, and their families in Bolton.

Our Public Health Nursing teams phone lines (01204 462325) will now be open:

  • 9:00am - 10:00am;
  • 2:30pm - 5:00pm;
  • Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays).

Should Bolton families wish to speak to a member of the team, we advise calling during those times.

We will also be signposting families to other NHS numbers, i.e. 111, should their query be of a medical nature. We’d like to reassure you that we have processes in place for any urgent safeguarding issues.

Should you wish to make a referral or speak to a colleague regarding a child or family that is not urgent, you can contact the teams during the designated times or email them directly.

We would appreciate your help sharing this information with families you may direct to our services, particularly within educational settings.

Thank you for your support whilst we make these changes.
