Course commitment

  1. Pre-course task - All learners to familiarise themselves with the WellComm Toolkit prior to attending
  2. Gap task - All learners will be given the opportunity to practice learning from the session and reflect on your learning. Managers and leaders will need to support staff with prep time and gap tasks.
  3. Participants must attend both sessions.

To participate fully in this session it is essential that you bring your copy of the WellComm Toolkit to use during training. The WellComm Toolkit resource will be made available to settings that do not already have a copy according to Bolton Start Well records.

Who is this session for?

  • Early Years Practitioners in Bolton Schools and Settings
  • Early Years SENCOs in Bolton Schools and Settings
  • Other Bolton Practitioners working with children aged 6 months to 6 years and their families
  • Early Years Practitioners new to WellComm
  • Those looking for a refresher.

If you have recently attended WellComm training, you do not need to reattend to use the WellComm screening tool. However, we would encourage all Bolton settings and schools to have at least one practitioner (consider the SENCO), attend the 'New GMCA WellComm Training' to gain a more indepth look at the interventions, results monitoring, and how to review progress.
