Description

Join our online, interactive session for leaders and managers in PVI and childminding settings.

It is essential that you watch the DfE vodcasts prior to attending this session to hear the official key messages from the DfE and Ofsted: PVI and Childminder DfE Vodcast. The Start Well session will follow on from this to help you to plan and prepare for the roll out of the new EYFS statutory framework from September 2021.

What will I learn?

The Start Well team will support you to:

  • Be clear about the rationale for reform of the EYFS - understand ‘why’ so we can approach change positively;
  • Be confident to start with - Identify where you are to evaluate and build on your existing good practice – review the key messages from DfE and Ofsted;
  • Look at what the main changes are and consider what this means in practice for curriculum development, observation, assessment and planning and staff CPD; and
  • Teachers from Bolton's Early Adopter schools share thoughts on their experience of working with the reformed EYFS and Development Matters this year.

Dates available

  • Thursday 29th April 2021, 2:00pm-4:00pm
  • Thursday 29th April 2021, 6:30pm-8:30pm
  • Friday 30th April 2021,  9:30am-11:30am
