What happens at this meeting?

Please note, this network meeting will be held online via Microsoft Teams. 

This is a network meeting for newly registered Childminders (up to 12 months from registration). During the meeting you will network with other childminders and receive support to help you plan ready for Ofsted.  The Start Well Quality and Outcomes Team will coordinate a personalised support programme organised according to the needs of the group e.g. support with planning, quality interaction ideas, SEND advice, SEF and action planning, or any combination of these.

At the end of this meeting particpants will have:

  • A better awareness of the requirements around being an effective childminder; and
  • A greater understanding of the requirements around the EYFS statutory guidance, EYFS Development Matters and the Ofsted Framework.

How often will these meetings be held?

Newly Registered Childminder Network meetings will be held monthly (Monday evening) and will last for 2 hours.

In order to maintain best value, we need to run networks on a maximum occupancy basis. If your place is confirmed but you are unable to attend, please send an alternative representative or cancel your place in writing by e-mailing: with a minimum of 24 hours' notice.


If for any reason we have to cancel or postpone a professional development session, we will notify all delegates booked onto the session as quickly as possible.
