(including Start Well Children’s Centres)

Start Well Children’s Centres are places where families with children can share the challenges and joys of parenthood. These centres offer a range of activities and integrated support services to help you with every aspect of parenting, so your child gets the best possible start in life.

These services include:

  • Information on early years and childcare provision;
  • Information and support to access wider services;
  • Information and advice for parents and carers;
  • Drop in sessions e.g. parent and child activities.

Where can I find a Start Well Children’s Centre in Bolton?

Start Well Link Sites

A number of former children’s centre buildings have transferred to schools, which will deliver services for children and families as part of their programme of activities. These buildings are known as Start Well Link Sites.

What is a link site?

These are the same buildings that used to be registered children’s centres. The school they are linked to will offer lots of useful information, advice and support about different services to keep children safe and healthy including: childcare, stay and play or parenting courses.
